This is our new house! We signed the papers yesterday. It is really a crazy feeling. Really crazy. We 've been stressed for days that something was going to fall out at the last minute. But, it didn't and we are finally home.
Last night after we signed the papers, we went and had a steak dinner...at Houlihan's. Let me tell you, I am going to miss non-chain restaurants. Because as far as I can tell, there are no upscale restaurants in the suburbs. (If anyone knows of some good upscale restaurants in the 'burbies, lemme know.) But, I digress.
We bought a house! This morning, I woke up and did a load of laundry! Can you believe that? I just walked right downstairs and threw it in. It was amazing.
Judy, our cat, seems to be acclimating quite nicely. I'm shocked. The last time we tried to move her she cried and cried the whole way. When we actually got her to the last place, she didn't come out of the box for days. This time she cried once or twice. When I got her home, I opened the box and she popped right out. Here's hoping that she continues to acclimate nicely.

Did you know Judy used to be named Johnny? We'll get into that at a later date.
I've never lived in the suburbs so I am excited to see what they have to offer (or what they do not offer). It's going to be a learning experience, I can tell.
Woohoo! We bought a house!
